Women With Metal 2026
Help us understand the people behind the industry.
The Women With Metal Conference 2026 takes place at Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on 17 September, bringing together people from across manufacturing, engineering, and the wider metal industry.
This year, Divrsity is a Silver Sponsor of the Women With Metal Conference, and we will be doing something a little different.
Alongside understanding what attendees think of the event itself, we want to learn more about the people Women With Metal reaches, their experiences of working in industry, and what those experiences can tell us about the sector more widely.
Attendee & Industry Insight Survey open 10–24 September 2026
What do we want to learn?
The survey looks at who Women With Metal is reaching, why people engage with the event, and their experiences of working across metal, manufacturing, and engineering.
By combining demographic data with questions about people's experiences, perspectives, and the industry itself, we can look beyond headline averages and identify where different groups may be having different experiences.
We can also use the findings to help Women With Metal understand its audience, improve future events, reach more people, and identify wider trends within its community and industry.
Some of the early findings will even be shared at Women With Metal on 17 September as part of Poggy’s opening keynote.
You don't have to be attending to take part
If you're attending Women With Metal 2026, you may already have received a personal survey link by email. If so, please use that link to take part.
But we also want to hear from the wider Women With Metal community.
If you work in or around manufacturing, engineering, metal, or a related industry, you can complete the survey through the link below even if you're not attending the conference.
Your responses can help us build a broader picture of the people working across the sector and their experiences.
The survey takes around 3 minutes to complete and closes on 24 September 2026.
Completely anonymous
Survey responses are completely anonymous.
Your answers cannot be linked back to your email address or identity, including by Women With Metal or Divrsity. Any personally identifying information used to distribute individual survey invitations is separate from your responses and is deleted in accordance with our data protection arrangements.
The data captured through the survey is anonymised and analysed collectively.
Better event insight. Better industry insight.
Divrsity helps events and conferences combine audience demographics, attendee experience, and wider industry questions to understand who they are reaching, whose experiences may differ, and what their audience can tell them about the sector they represent.
That can mean understanding whether different groups experience an event differently, identifying audiences an event is not yet reaching, learning what matters to its community, or producing industry insights that continue to be useful long after the doors close.
For Women With Metal, we'll be using the data both to help improve future events and to learn more about the experiences of the community it has built.
